METAL CHURCH: Working Title Of New Album Revealed
February 27, 2008METAL CHURCH singer Ronny Munroe has issued the following update:
"As you all know, we are busy working on the new release. METAL CHURCH is back with a vengeance and we know where you are.
"In appreciation for our fans old and new over the past two plus decades, we have decided to accept artwork for the new cover from those who know us best.....our Congregation! If we accept your artwork and use it, we will include your name on the CD.
"The working title of the new release is 'This Present Wasteland'. So use your imagination. We will desplay some of the artwork we get on the METAL CHURCH MySpace page for everyone to see. We know there are many talented fans out there and we would love to see one of you get the cover. You can submit your artwork to This_Present_Wasteland @yahoo.com.
"This new release is sounding incredable and we are all very excited for you to hear it."
METAL CHURCH recently parted ways with guitarist Jay Reynolds (also of MALICE) for "personal reasons." A replacement guitarist has not yet been announced.
Professionally filmed video footage of METAL CHURCH performing the classic song "Gods of Wrath" at the Wacken Open Air 2005 festival in Wacken, Germany can be viewed below.
METAL CHURCH's latest album, "A Light in the Dark", was released in June 2006 via SPV. The CD includes a new version of the classic "Watch the Children Pray" as a tribute to vocalist David Wayne, who passed away in May 2005.
METAL CHURCH frontman Ronny Munroe has been recording material for new solo project. Joining Munroe in the group are his former ROTTWEILLER bandmates Rick Van Zandt on guitar, Izzy Rehaume on bass and Doug Marapodi on drums along with Q-5/TKO/NIGHTSHADE guitarist Rick Pierce.
